Tokyo Photography Month 2025

📸 “Conveying the Power of Photography for the SDGs”

Bruce Osborn – Nature Calls

As part of Tokyo Photography Month, an annual event organized by the Photographic Society of Japan and the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, Bruce Osborn’s latest works are now on display.

The theme is “Nature Calls”, featuring photos of driftwood and other objects found along the beach.

These beach items come from all over — washed down rivers, carried by ocean currents — and end up scattered along the shore. Some of it gets sorted and recycled, some upcycled into new products, while others are simply burned as waste.

But in Bruce’s hands, these discarded items are transformed into photographic works of art. They serve as visual messengers, urging us to think more deeply about the environment.

His Nature Calls pieces are now on display, continuing their mission at the exhibition and related events!
