A 90-Minute Journey Through Oyako Day (2003–Present) with the Five Biggest Highlights of Each Year and the Photography of Bruce Osborn
We have an important update regarding this year’s annual Oyako Day Family Photo Session.
After careful consideration of Bruce’s health, we have decided to replace this year’s traditional photo session with a special online program, Oyako Day 2026 Special.
Over the years, many people have told us that they would love to see more of Bruce Osborn’s photography. In response, we are delighted to present a 90-minute retrospective celebrating the history of Oyako Day through Bruce’s photographs.
Beginning with the launch of Oyako Day in 2003 and continuing through the present, we’ll revisit each year through its five most memorable highlights, accompanied by Bruce’s photographs. Along the way, many of the people who have supported Oyako Day—as well as families who have participated in the photo sessions over the years—will join us to share their memories and personal stories.
You’ll also hear from many special guests who rarely have the opportunity to appear together.
And who knows… there may even be a few surprises.
We hope you’ll join us for this special celebration.
We know that many of you have been asking, “When is this year’s photo session?” We are truly sorry that we won’t be able to hold it in its usual format.
Looking ahead, we plan to organize small-group Oyako family photo sessions several times a year, similar to the one we held on Children’s Day earlier this year. If you would like to participate, please submit your request through the official Oyako Day website.
We will do our best to schedule as many sessions as possible and look forward to photographing your family.
