The 2nd Hakone Art Festival – On Now Until August 31

In Hakone, an international tourist destination renowned for its rich natural beauty, history, cultural heritage, and hot springs, the “Hakone Art Festival” is once again being held this year.

Now in its second edition, the festival is bustling with visitors despite this summer’s extreme heat and record rainfall.

If you have time, we warmly encourage you to visit Hakone. The festival runs until August 31.

Bruce Osborn is also participating again this year as an invited artist, presenting a photo exhibition at the Hakone Town Social Education Center (520 Kowakudani, Hakone).

The exhibition features 18 diverse parent-child portraits, including celebrities such as Ken Uehara & Yūzō Kayama, Tadanori Yokoo, Mansai Nomura, as well as popular icons like Ultraman and Hello Kitty.

The venue also hosts an interactive workshop, “OYAKO no KABE” (The Oyako Wall), where parents can leave messages for their children and children can write messages for their parents, along with cherished memories.
