This mother you love, she won't let go.

2014.05: West India, Rajasthan, Jaisalmer. My wife and I went out on an evening camel safari. The photo is of our guide and his son. They looked so utterly happy together. With a backdrop of the setting sun, I got this photo of them.

When I took a peak through the watermelon tunnel my father had just dug, Mom got interested, and Dad made another tunnel for her. Both my Mother and I got our picture taken together.

His feet alone are bigger than I am.

 

Even older, Papa's the best.

I hadn't seen my son for a while, and I wanted to show him this great fishing spot. We didn't catch anything. But my son said he'd like to come fishing again, and it made my day.

Lying around on a rainy day, I got a kiss from my son (^^)

 

Great-Grandmother, Grandmother, Mother and her children. The deep contentedness of getting together with 4 generations of your family. I'm thankful for it.

There's a big, fat Kagami Mochi inside the yellow handkerchief to celebrate my child's first birthday. He doesn't walk yet, but even with a load of heavy mochi on his back: this laughing face. I want him to always be this happy.

On weekdays they don't see each other much, but weekends are party time.

Let's start with training wheels. You can do this! Father & son, relation of confidence.

Always busy with little time for fun, we got Mom out under the Cherry Blossoms. The two children loved it too. Especially the petals, which they collected with great joy.

Family under the waves. I wanted to get this underwater portrait. So, while my daughter was having fun diving, I just shot away.

"Hey! look over here!" We'd barely arrived and Mom had the camera out. Chance? Fate?? ...when she looked up from the camera, she said, "You two, you really do look alike!" Not just our faces, but even the way we hold ourselves...

We did this with the self-timer. And we had to do it over and over to get it right. My daughter was ecstatic. As for me, I got a little tired.
